The Moon

The tree is burning but everything else is alright

The pub is open late its half priced drinks all night

Fisher king is at the bar and he always complains

He spills his ale and rants about the secret he gave away

He spends his time with Narcissus on the riverbank

Narcissus gets a selfie, the king just guts his catch

But the key to it all was the Moon

Hidden commander: Instigates tides

Silent observer: Mysterious light

Orchestrates the oceans the wolves howl their warnings

Beware of the fools who come in the night

The wolves know the secret: enough to not trust

They howl their legends: ancient angry blood lust

They howl their warnings: never trust the sky

They howl their threats to any who might try

They remember very well the invaders from above

They remember saving us when push came to shove

But the key to it all was the moon

Hidden commander: Instigates tides

Silent observer: Mysterious light

Orchestrates the oceans the wolves howl their warnings

Beware of the fools who come in the night

The Fisher king knows the secret that the wolves won't tell

But if you ask directly he will bid a rude farewell

He wants to keep his secrets for reasons I don't know

He says its an awful story and you should really go

I suspect that he was there and witnessed everything

The stories lost to history and all that's anything

Is the key to it all was the moon

Hidden commander: Instigates tides

Silent observer: Mysterious light

Orchestrates the oceans the wolves howl their warnings

Beware of the fools who come in the night
